Welcome to ECU’s personal security and safety application NowForce.

The NowForce app is ECU’s personal safety tool that connects you directly to campus security. It helps minimise response times during emergencies and allows you to report incidents quickly. It works anywhere and everywhere, not just on campus.

Features of the app include:

NowForce is provided free of charge to all ECU students & staff, with 24/7 monitoring from our dedicated security control room. In the unlikely event you need urgent assistance, the app provides a personal SOS button which notifies Security of your exact location and allows us to see what’s happening so we can get help to you straight away.

NOTE: The Mobile phone number used at registration will be your Username in the app. Enter your ECU email address for ECU specific assistance.

Every SOS activation will alert the ECU Security Team, and will be followed up with a security response. Please remember ECU’s Values of Integrity and Respect by refraining from activating the SOS button unless you are reporting a genuine emergency. Click here for support

More details

  • When in SOS mode – the application will continue to update the ECU Security team with your location until password is entered.
  • Upon completion of the registration process, a text will be sent to you with a link to activate the application.
